how about a build diary section?

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

A few more ideas:

It would be good to be able to filter the search function by topic, ie technical chat, for sale, show us yours. As I find when I search for information, I tend to get 20 results of what 18 turn out to be wanted ads and are of little use.

Further more what about life expiring all for sale & wanted ads (except topped ones) after 6 months after the last post? as all the do is mess up my searches.

Also what about a members photos section, unlike a lot of internet forums we actually meet up a few times a year and it would be nice to know what people look like (I can only identy the majority of TM members by there cars)

Anyone else have that thing, that when you (fast reply) post on a multi-page post, it takes you back tyo page one when the page refreshes, and if you try to click the page number at the bottom to go to page 2, 3, whatever, it spits its dummy out?

Yes, it does do that to me too.

It'd be great if it could stay on the page that the post was assigned to, rather than back to pg 1.

Would it be possible to have some more filtering options on the search function? such as being able to search for posts of a certain age or in any section except the for sale section?

Also would it be possible to show what sections posts are in in the search results? as some searches like "T3" throw up loads of results half of which are in the for sale & wanted sections and tend to contain little relevant information.

Finally would it be possible to link to a set of search results like this:

maybe add some BB code to allow users to post a youtube video so it shows within the forum?

How about automatically deleting all for sale and wanted thread after the last post becomes six months old? As they take up server space and throw up load of erroneous threads when searching.

alex, did you get my PM i sent not long ago with an idea? (others might not like it, but here it goes)

..quite often there will be a topic that is very useful and has alot of info i might need at a later date/resource.

I thought it would be helpful to maybe have in each members profile a "Quicklinks" tab or similar.

Then in each post have a "save to quicklinks" perhaps where the other buttons eg "post reply" sit that saves that specific topic into a users quicklinks on their profile.

This would be handy for me as during different points in my project i find my internet explorer favourites getting filled out with topics i've saved for reference.

Would it be possible to set up a text alert to my mobile whenever johnK places an ad in the for sale section?

Yet another idea, would it be possible to search for images? or at least threads containing images?

For example if I want a photo of the Frog I type frog into the search field and tick a little image box an it only returns threads titled frog that contain images, as opposed to having to go through all 27 results to see which ones have pictures.

What about being able to mark/flag certain topics which could get saved to a favourites tab on your profile for quick refferances?

Would it be possible to sort the threads in a section by, title, users, date, no. of replies etc like you can with emails in outlook?
