I've used MED, found Steve very helpful both in discussing what I wanted to do, and with help after I'd paid them for machining work.
Same goes for Ian at Avonbar, more than willing to spend his time discussing my options over the phone before I had spent a penny with his company, and then very helpful when I went down there to collect the head I bought from him.

Aren't you guys worried, if you paid for something a year ago and have not had it delivered, there has to be a problem. If it's happened to you it's happened to others and if you all asked for your cash back at the same time what would happen???
Machining your components is not a black art, after all a dimension is just that, and it can be achieved by the local company with 30+ years reputation, equally as well as Lesspeed or Mud, and probably at a more favourable price. It perhaps has not got the bragging rights but will cost less and be done in a tiny fraction of the time.

Dave

If i'd have paid for something 3 months ago and not recieved, i'd be kicking up a fuss, not patiently waiting...

no no no,,, you guys have it all wrong, with the help of a little seal-picking-tool, you can lift the internal tab up inside the old zip tie & undo it without damage, no need to cut it at all *smiley*

I`m with Carl--> if i didn`t have my engine ready for me in time, then i`d be kicking my arse too *smiley* i wouldn`t be kicking up a fuss, only because i don`t know where the fuss is at the moment, i`ll have to have a look for it, i`m pretty sure it`s around here somewhere,,, oh,,, silly me---> here it is. *smiley* Now, back to that 26 year long build of my turbo alloy V8 mini *smiley*

yes i agree matt ,that works quite well , but then it seems to make the teeth a bit blunt just where you lever the tab up ,and then it slips ,also the tooth on the flap gets a bit blunter too , i made a special tool to do this and had it chromed ,but i think if i made another one id make it from stainless so it wouldnt show signs of wear .*wink*

I would contact Morspeed's local Trading Standards Department. They might make a visit if enough people complain.
