Fook me, thats not what I wanted to see, gettin too many ideas now! how did they get that in there? Touch of grease around the edges, hang over engine bay, then drop, so it will wedge itself in! LOL

Yeah, its pretty tight. Your best bet is the 2.5 m50 out of the e36's. the 24v one. Conversion can be done for under 500quid and they are 190bhp. Im very tempted.

I love the M-tec two kit, would looks the nuts on a tourer! Too expencive tho. Reaaly need to do something to the front of mine, prehaps a rieger lip or something? The bigger engine is getting so tempting. My Neighbour has an e36 evo2 borrowed it when I had ajob interview last year, scared my self silly, good fun tho!

Lol, mtech2 kits is cool but they can look just as good without. Reiger lips are quite nice because you can make up a wee splitter for them too. You can get copies on ebay which sem to fit alright, my mates had one and it looked good.

Would like one with sencible miles on it tho, so prob going to end up payin more........ At least with the M20 lump I know my way round it, and have very few mating issues. How difficult is the m50 conversion?

If your happy with an m20 then stick with it. id personally go for an m50 as i personally find the m20 quite lazy.

You have to use a clio servo for clearance issues. The hardest things seem to be: Exhaust manifold, you withe need to cut and modify the original or get a custom one made up to clear the steering rack. And the gear linkage has to be shortened depending what box/prop that you use. I agree with the m20 being "lathargic" but still good fun to drive, with the m50, what box/ and prop options are usable, any thing I already have? Cheers Shane |

Think at the minute I might stick with the 1.8, I know if I start messing with engines that the mini wont get looked at for another 3 months.

Thats what I was thinking, I have some paint given to me when I bought the car so the match wont be an issue, Think Ill buy it, fit it, drive around with it in black for a week, see if it grounds out on anything, if it does Ill not bother getting it painted.
