Well I cant believe it!! Thurs night I cranked her over to gain oil pressure, was a struggle so ended up removing the oil filter banjo and force feeding it, was getting late after this so on fri eve wired in the fuel pump and attempted to "prime" the system, but rapidly realised I had the fuel supply to the carb attached to the anti run on valve prt o the carb (ooops) so this plut lay t plans of strting it fri. This afternon I went over to have another go, unplugged the mj and with the 1s throw of he key it sprung into life, plugged the Mj back in and so far seems ok. (need to aqurie a laptop in the next few days to check it is actually working) Have set fuel pressure to 3.5 psi at idle, unsure of the mixture, but havent touched it since it came off a running car (about 4 years back) am getting a worry on about choke seals tho, might order a rebuil kit? Engine is a tad smokey when revved heavilly (not on boost) used the block in the car as n/a 2 years ago when I su a big end bearing on the 998 and it didnt smoke then, im just hoping its worn vavle guides?
Have managed to get the dash an seats all back in and the boot on, so ts looking more like a mini again. Hoping to start the work on swapping the breaks over tomrrow (back to the 8.4") while I have the o/s hub off I need to repair an oil leak on the output cover that side of the box (joy) but we are getting there!

Had to get a longer top steady made for mine. No way an original was going to fit. It was about an inch too short.

I ended up purhcasing an avonbar adjustable set, which solved the issue.
Yester I took the car for suspension geometry setup, Has made the world of difference, as it was a mile out! Had to take it for a drive, and even tho its not set up yet, it flys and is an absolute hoot to drive!
The car is booked in at T&M on tues 6th may for tuning, got a few more jobs to do (fit head and rebuild carb) but on the whole I think im pretty much there!
Cheers

There is a company in Norwich called Sca in ternational race and rally, have used them in the past, service is pretty good (plus there is a fit girl who works there and is well into her cars lol!)

looking really really good

What happened to the hair filter though? You should be able to get it back to a normal shape with a bit of persuasion
