I had a really good day, I met one or two of you lot but not many really.

Star mag, bloody well done, I saw the 12 sec pass and was suprised at the lack of enthuiasm from the crowd.

Paul destroying the new mini got a good reception though.

Got to say though nics car is stunning in the flesh and me and my mate decided if we wanted to go for a spirited drive in any car that would be it. I also noticed it was driven to the drag strip as I saw him leaving, so good job.

Also, what a bastard the place is to find, thank god we had sat nav!

Here's the video of starmag running a 13.0 on the saturday afternoon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-L4kyXyL-Y

Pretty much the only video worth uploading as anton was being lazy with my camera and only filmed a couple of runs, one of which was my slowest of the day :(

sounds like i missed a good weekend! I was ready to go, car loaded on the trailer and everything but slept in on Saturday and woke up to a wet misearable Glasgow and lost all motivation to drive all the way down!

well done starmag! the 12 second barrier is well and truly smashed - how many have joined the club now?

How long will it be untill we are knocking on the doors of an 11 second 1/4?

I remember when Andy Cameron broke into the 13 seconds (only just - 13.96 or something) probably 5 or 6 years ago. With continued developement you guys are now knocking over a second off this time.

Yes, share a workshop with him - to be honest I've not seen him for a while now either. His time is taken up with working 6 days a week and 2 kids these days.

don't think his car has turned a wheel in 3 years

What's interesting is that, so far, no one on here has said a bad word about MITP 2008.

I'm a regular show goer, usually to collect parts and often leave by lunchtime - not really my scene.

However, I think that the combination of the normal type of show with the added spice of a bit of drag racing is a recipe for success.

I would suggest that the RWYB type event should be more structured along the lines of the Showdown, as judging by the numbers of people in the stands, the racing is maybe a bigger part of the event than the organisers anticipated.

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

Pod definitely seems better organised than Avon with regards to the location and facilities (bar and food mainly). And they keep the track moving aswell, I think the longest I waited between runs was about 30mins and that was at the busiest time!

Did anyone get a vid of mine? I have no idea what it sounds like from outside the car! *laughing*

The boost i was running is a bit debatable as i said i was having spikes, I think for the quick run i was at 18psi but cant be too sure! What sort of 60 foots are people doing on road tyres?
