Plan B is you guys tell me to wind me neck in ![]() Not from me.... I can understand the frustration (in your job) of people getting away with this and the havoc it will inevitably cause. It only makes it worse when they post on an internet forum what they are going to be doing and there is little in reallity than anyone can do to stop it. Modern technology is certainly helping (ie, ANPR) and I was really pleased to see some of the mobile ANPR cameras in Ipswich the other week with real people sitting beside them taking notes of other things of interest (at least I assume that's what they were doing) and the stickers on (fairly new) clamped cars about what was going to happen to them should start to get the message across. But if someone is arrogant enough to post on a "performance" forum how they are going to blatantly break the law, I hope your colleagues somewhere in a 220 mile radius of North Walsham get him soon - before he kills someone inoccent. You are all right that anyone who purposely avoids proper insurance should be punished.

However, we have a 17 year old lad here who has probably never insured a car before, does not understand the rules and has not actually driven the car yet. Hmmm.... I can't believe that even a 17 year old (who has paid over £2k for a 28 year old car) doesn't understand the rules. It's pretty clear on all insurance applications (paper or internet) what you have to disclose. And even if that wasn't clear, where does the "parenting" (to quote from another recent thread) come in ???? If you read his other posts, he wants to know how fast it will go and how to make it faster..... I think that probably means he knows it's not a standard 998. yes adam is in the wrong and does definatly need to insure the mini as a turbo and declare all mods, BUT i dont think anything is gained by calling people, and its not very welcoming, if after reading this adam then fails to insure it properly then he deserves the replies but i think there a little uncalled for, we were all 17 once and were all a little naeive (cant spell that sorry). give him a chance.
no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
