Sorry to throw the thread off course further, but for a standard stroke engine, which crank, assuming the same treatment were applied to both would be stronger, a, or a plus. I am aware that there are manufacturing differences i.e the rolled fillit radi, but how do the material specs fare?

Apparently a plus are better because they have rolled fillets, this is due to the ground fillets apparently breaking under alot of stress, as some times if the 'grinding wheel' was coming to the end of its life it it would leave a bad fillet so to speak, which is why they can apparently break.
