i was speaking to paul at avon park, he said he couldn't use it on the motorway as it blew from side to side, if you ever had a chance to look at pauls car, the craftmanship is amazing, from the hand formed ali rocker cover to the machined clutch arm....its very very very light! according to a guy i was talking to at MiTP 08, called john hastings (i think that was his name) his mini weighs in a 410kg dont know if that was with fuel i know thats been roof chopped i thgink he said it was 3 inch chopped dont know how much weight that takes out/add

i used to use 28 front 26 rear but ive now dropped to 24 front 22 rear

Can anyone explain to me how you can stay stable on such high tyre pressures at the low weights quoted. OK I am talking about a different car and tyres,but my car weighs about 700kg and on 155x13 tyres any more than 22 lbs and it gets too lively for comfort.I have set it up for lots of safe understeer and as soon as I raise the pressures it goes in to unstable oversteer.BTW it is RWD. |
