However. I cannot see any performance gain in going short. Possibly better room in the engine bay. On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

I guess you're right. Having the cam pulley on the inside of the damper is bound to be a better solution. Still, no HP gain though On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

Reliability - having said that the Don has no issues but mine was long cam when a road car and it was forever throwing timing discs and bottom pulleys but then that was early days for after market EFI & Minis On 6th May, 2009 Vegard said: However. KADs last long cam head bottom pulley arrangement was different to the earlier ones in that the outer belt pulley section bolts direct to the crank. Machined as a one piece. The centre of the mini damper is machined out to suit. Bolted on with a lot deeper bolt.

Still came loose had that one - I am running the first short cam carrier ( it came off of the black demo car in Feb 1999) - had no problems since! On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

Nice If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
