If wonga is no issue why not have a custom crank and rods made from scratch? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Yer I was thinking that, but I'm told the new billet cranks arnt as strong as the old forged type.

A billet crank could be just as strong as a forged one even if the grain structure doesn't follow the shagep of the crank. Do you seriously think this will affect the performance? Not in real life. i belive that billet cranks become more of a problem once you go past the point where there is overlap on the main and bigend, not that they are much of an issue anyway.
