DEEP.

Not sure about ex-company cars, it depends on the model, a BMW 5 series I would look at, a FOCUS not a chance. Had too many company cars to know the abuse they get, plus lease companies can be a nightmare sometime to get the work done.
I have only ever met one other person who looked after their company car, when being offered a basic model.

Yep skodas and Seats are on the list, but people know that they are really VWs so bargins are still hard to find. I am not fussy about the car at all really. I just have a few ideas that I think will get me something reliable for the right money. Other people will have other ideas, but you have do do what you think is right, otherwise you will never be happy. This is general advice for life as well as car buying.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Yep both my cars are excompany / lease cars and have been fine. As was my 200sx. My experience suggests the total opposite to what other peoples experience is. I drive lease cars all the time in work and as much I as thrash them, most of the time I am on the motorway or stuck in traffic. So no damage being done there.

I think that we l agree that the history of a car is important to some degree, but basically you have to view the car with an open mind and make a judgment based on all the documentation and the condition of the car, and trust your gut feeling.

Lease cars will likely have a full dealer service history, and in my experience, stuff gets fixed when it becomes fauly, all with genuine parts and at the dealers.

I would have no problems buying an ex lease car with 100k on the clock. I just sent a renault laguna II face lift model back that I had from new. 4 years old with 112k on it and I would have bought it if I had the need. It did have its problems, but overall it was reliable. The only thing to be careful of with the Renaults are the keys, they tend to wear out and if you dont get it sorted, circa £150, you will be going home on a flat bed truck.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Megan looks OK, but going by the pics I'd say there has been some accident damage to the front.

The wing to door panel gaps are awfull and the air bag looks to be a slightly different colour to the wheel outer and has less wear.

Good website though. There's a website at work where we can buy ex Lex leased cars direct (I work for LBG/HBOS who own Lex). Some good deals on there. I'll sort you a link out tomorrow

I agree after getting stuck a few times, condition and luck are the best thing to have when buying a car.
