I'm surprised Alex hasn't posted about his old BMW in here, driving back in pouring rain and the wipers broke. I couldn't have done it.

was yesterday, standing by the santa pod wall, 4 to 5 feet way from an 8000 bhp top fuels car, when it was coming past me at 120 + mph on full beans, I had ear plugs and ear cans on, it made no odds, i still closed my eyes and hoped it pasted me with out blowing up lol

Well, I'm just about to attempt to drive a Transit to the Mediteranean in two days.

Nothing special in my younger days, but this week it will be challenging, if not dangerous.

Coming back home from a friends house at night there was a massive rain falling.

While starting to overtake some guy I got a splash from his car so couldn't see a thing and my car started aquaplanning.
So my car was pointing for a wall, I coulnd't see and I couldn't brake !

If your wife wants to learn to drive, don't stand in her way.

As the 998Ti is still in fine fettle, I charged up the battery, fitted the ECU and fired her up.

Wow, I'm not sure my heart can cope with any more power.....

I started the van today for the first time in about 3 months. Fired straight up (as soon as I turned the fuel pump on :$). The temptation to go for a fly was immense, but I resisted. :(

Drove 110miles one way to MITP, and 110 back, with a shitty old 998 that was ready for the bin.

I fired mine up today for the first time in months, it took a hell of a lot more then that. But I finally sorted the intermittent starting problem with the megajolt by repositioning the trigger sensor about 2mm.

Couldn't go for a drive as I cut my steering column up and still awaiting a replacement!

I don't do many dangerous things while the cars off the road, but i've had way to many brown trouser moments on the back lanes.

one morning on my way to work i was going down a narrow lane which was ungritted and was basically sheet ice, a car pulled out about 50 yards in front of me, i braked and used the hand brake all four wheels locked. i must have stopped less than a foot away from thier front bumper.

i hadn't been driving for very long at the time and it scared the shite out of me. really woke me up about driving in cold conditions.

had a similar experience, was out in my mates mk1 fiesta on the back roads single lane jobby. We were flying along just about to come over the brow of the hill and boot it and a women is sat there in a ingis thing and just looks at us. My mate driving anchors on, locks the wheels and is trying to engine brake too it was either hit her or go for the dyke. My other mate is in the back bracing himself as it didnt have belts in the back and in the end we ended up about a inch or so from her bumper
