I've been lacking motivation in a big way lately, decided that the CF dash is never going to fit the way i want so after over $1000 aus and 50+ hours, its going to the bin.... that was reason enough not to touch the car for a good month or two but im trying to get back into it, few small updates, mounted the EDIS, coil pack, made and mounted a catch can thing and finished the air intake. Im going for a much more simple dash this time, maybe things will start progressing forwards now!

Lights a cigar leans back and puffs out smoke to the sound of mild cello music.

Thats bad news fella hate it when that happens.

i did like the way the dash look'd, it didnt fit tho, had to put a uni joint in the steering column for clearence reasons, and it would be near impossible to get engineered! I havnt seen the MRA blanking plugs, im guessing they are for the dizzy hole? i just turn'd up that plug with an o-ring mounted half way down, simple and easy!!

Thanks for the nice comments.

Super tidy engine install, nice work. Can't believe you binned the dash. I have the exact same one, & yes it's a nightmare to fit but it is possible with the standard steering column and gearstick locations. I'd have a re-think, it's a lot of money to throw away.

I am seriously considering selling this car now, i'v try'd walking away from it for months at a time, doing small jobs, keeping this more simple but everytime i take the cover off it i walk away with the shits 15mins later. What sort of money do you guys think the car is worth?

Cheers. Chris

It would be worth more as a finished car or in pieces. Unfinished projects have a significant disadvantage.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Are there any more Aus members on here?

If not I'll give you £500 if you post it to the UK! LOL

I think its a lovely looking car myself.
