cheers ben h, yeah i'm pretty happy with the purchase!

in the end it was between a kia & the rover, but the rover wass the choice as it did'nt feel like a 10 year old jap interiour! & the rover l-series is a good TD that can be tuned up to 150bhp with harldy spending a penny! its my moms car but if i haad to collect a car part in doncaster then i know i have the use of it

we all like what we like dont we

at the end of the day most peole regard our classic minis asa piece of crap
but it led the way to the car of today in a lot of repects

its a famous person once said: its a funny old game

name the person!

pics of the car i got my mom!

well it drives really well, engine is pretty perky! i've not driven a modern TD & they are really torquey!

really comfortable driving postion & i personally feel these last MG's are drivers cars! they grip the road like glue! it does'nt have hardly any body roll in the corners!
seats are brilliant, supportive & keep you upright!

slightly bumpy at low speeds due to the low sports suspesion but once on the move its good!

the dieslel motor is pretty quest, you can make out its a diesel inside the car at low speeds/rpms but again, once on the move!!! its good!

interiour build quality isa bit sketchy in places & rover should have used better plastics/switches but other than that its great!

hope my mom likes it!!!!

pretty coolio for my mother to drive!

i only picked it up today & i got to 110mph & it was pulling HARD!!!!! i think this car would see 130mph easy! but not with my mom driviing it LOL

not a bad motor for the money & 42,100miles from new on a 2.0 turbo diesel with 115bhp & 170something lbs of torque

i'll mod it to make the numbers even, the boost will go up from the OE 17psi to 20psi, de-cat pipe & a few choice mods & some silicone hosing for reliabuilty & i'll get 13bhp & i defo want to see 200-220lbs out of it, take off any of the badges that are stick type, paint the rear diffuser body colour, a decent tailpipe finisher, & add some extra sound proofing to make it even quieter than it is! sat-nav, parking sensors & a luggage net in the boot + seat covers to protect the leather!

mods later in the year are to refurb the alloys & a full set of good tyres for our english roads, maybe some continentals!

my biggest grype with the car is tyre noise from the big lo-pro tyres!

i would'nt mind a suggestion or two of what colour you think i should re-do the alloys!
