No one said they did buddy. 250 isn't the record for a 5 port any way, think it's about 240 -245.

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
First 5 port miniturbo to make over 200 bhp on a carb?
First 5 port miniturbo to make over 200 bhp on Injection?

I knew there was a reason i went for a 4 bar map sensor :)

25psi and 7500rpm should be moving enough air for 270bhp, aslong as the head and cams are up to it!

Actually, I make it 264hp. Close enough.

im not clever enough to work it out but is that based on 100%VE and 100% combustion efficiency ?

cleaver what a typo*happy*

I've just had a look and maybe the Compressor effieciency should be 76% but it doesnt make much difference

You need to stop digging holes for yourself. It ain't going to happen just because the maths stacks up. It will take a couple of years development at least.

TM of course :

I think he is using one of my old spreadsheets. I now use 90% VE and a lower BSFC in my calcs. I think I mean "lower", not sure.

I always alter the VE as a fudge to get a value that has either been measured or seems reasonable.

Usually ends up between 80 and 90 (but closer to 80 for 8-valve 5 porters, over 90 for a 16v.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Like Wil, I've always calculated for both 80% and 90% - and anything else is a bonus - or found with development.
