I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder. On 15th Aug, 2011 robert said:

I bought this from Pace some time ago for the 998Ti and never used it. ![]() Cost around £100. Problem, for me anyway, is that the end flanges are only around 1mm thick. I daren't try and weld to that. Those flanges were like the ones on my Docking core...even I managed to weld them. Was actually very easy. Just overlap the end tank then you almost fuse the overlap into the end tank. And just because a turbo makes 20psi on one system, doesnt mean it will make it on another. Boost is only a measure of restriction of the engine. And it will also depend on exhaust, wastegate and method of boost control. If you jammed the w/g shut solidly, what boost does it make ? try that one very carefully lol I can recall on my car, with a T3, 0.36 turbine and Cossie compressor wheel, I struggled to make much over 21psi. That was with an 18psi actuator and bleed valve. Actuator set fairly tight. With hindsight, it was probably because the bleed valves I was using simply wouldnt allow enough bleed. I had just teed from the main line and run this into the cabin so I could adjust in car, then used small fish tank plastic bleed valve on the end. But after using the same bleed valve on my volvo last week, even it struggled. It just wouldnt let enough air out. So I placed another between compressor and tee-piece so I could restrict the amount of air the actual bleed valve had to deal with. Boost turned up no problem for a grand sum of £1.89 Edited by stevieturbo on 6th Jan, 2011. 9.85 @ 145mph
