my old dissy was completely stuck...

it only advanced 6 degrees in total mechanically and NONE with vacuum!

They do wear out, so its worth checking :)

while in the hotel room- atomospheric pressure at 14.7 psi (1 bar) measured at sea level ,is that corrected to the stanard 20 degrees c?
always recommend setting timing at 5000 rpm 28 deg (safe) with vac disconected (also check it works )for the test, if poss try to check pulley actually reads tdc when the marks align- use a dial guage -(the pulley can twist around ) recheck at idle 7-14 depending on whose book looking at /hotel room your in !
almost forgot may need to blank /pack out spring in plenum dump valve
go for some colder plugs

should my car be quicker at 7psi rather than 5psi? will it have more lag?? it didnt seem as quick when i upped it to 7psi, i noticed yesterday the hose that connects to the bleed valve was loose,the bit that comes out of the valve was loose (what the pipe connects to) dunno if that might done anything?

should be noticably quicker at 7psi. if it isn't, then the fuel or ignition is holdign it back. Get it to an A-series turbo / SU friendly rolling road and have it checked out.
