Let me just mention,
just because it says "scratch resistant" its not!

i paid the extra to get the "scratch resistant" windows and collected them too, but even the slightest touch with anything and they scratch,

mine have scratches all ove them from people just walking past in the garage, even a zip on your coat jacket will scratch them

somehow a cloth that had been used previously with some sort of panel wipe or something got used on my drivers window - big mistake, the window melted and i had to buy a new one from plastics4pefomance

i havent had my mini on the road yet, but im seriously considering changing the front two windows to glass because just winding them up and down as marked them.

i asked the owner about why my "scratch proof" windows are scratching and he didnt care, i can understand, its my fault and the people in my garage that theyre marked, but they shouldnt have been sold as non-scratching, they cost a hell of alot of money and i paid full price!

Hmm, you've made me have doubts now, i think Nic has the fronts and didn't have any problems, is it too late to place an order Wolfie or are you ready to go?

No you can still order Gavin

James i understand your concern but you only ever come on here to slate companies and it seems you have an issue with everyone you buy parts from, no company is perfect but you just seem to find fault in everything, if people want to pull out from what James has said then so be it however i will still buy from them and if the windows are shit then i will take it up with them not slate them on here without them having an oppotunity to answer back

I get the opinion you had a faulty product James and that should have been rectified but obviously was not for a matter you havnt't been clear on :s and from what I understand you used a cloth with chemical cleaner or something like white spirt and are surprised it ate through them 8/ which they have every right to refuse a refund as its your own fault!
But for your one negative experience there has been a lot of recommendations for both product and customer experience so I believe I speak for the sensible among us when I say wolfie I will not be pulling out, if the windows mark easy just like you I will take it up with the company that made then and pursue a refund

Couldn't agree more Rick. The first mention of a group buy and hundreds jump on the bandwagon, only to give back word later on.

In general I agree thats its PITA when people pull out of group buys. I'd like to think I have a genuine reason as my circumstances changed from when I originally comitted (company bust, facing redundancy etc).

If it means I owe wolfie a beer at some point then so be it. *wink*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Hi wolfie,

i dont only come on here to slate companies!
i just do a lot more reading on here than i do posting
and when people need to be warned about bad products then i feel like they should have the heads up! i would seriously not recommend these windows for a road car,

if your wanting these windows for a road car, dont presume that "scratch resistant" is scratch resistant! ive found that even pulling a car cover off from over you mini can scratch the windows, even if one of the plastic clips touches the widnows they leave scratches, i will take photos this evening of my windows and let you judge for youself!

the window that accidentaly came in contact with something like panel wipe was my drivers window, and i paid in full for a replacement window from plastics4performance for one - dont use anything other than water or window cleaner to clean your windows!!!

Ill take some photos of mine tonight, i would definately have stuck with my glass windows if i could, im always carefull arround my mini, but you cant help sometimes coat zips, car cover clips etc coming in contact with your windows, and the scratches are really noticable!

no offence but there plastic windows and not glass anyone who thinks there glass and treats them like glass is an idiot, plastic windows are plastic windows regardless of where you buy them from and PFP have a good reputation if not the best, i am sure you would not be on the soapbox if it was another company but same product, you have said your piece and i have given and still am giving people the oppotunity to pull out i suggest you leave it at that, no-one interested in a wich hunt this is not TMF our users are adults and can deal with any issues with the product that may arise like adults.

Just to clarify gents i think james is taking the piss, now i carnt go into too much detail as am sure most of you are aware where am going in the morning.

Ive got the windows and paul from p4p is good bloke, scratch resistant is just that its a coating obviously they will still mark am sure nic who we can all trust has plastic windups in his fron doors most of the miglia lads run them, ive got a plastic front screen in mine and was told by a good soure the mig lads last a good season with the wipers on with a plastic window. Am sure most of you are keeping the front glass.

Please dont listen to james and the shit hes coming out with just like the acespeed thing. We all no rich at minispares and how we can trust him, he is also friends with mr acespeed and never has a bad word to say.

Just get on with the group buy, neil is doing his best to sort all this out gents.

Thanks Rick
