I too have my reservations with the front page picture.

Overall though, looks very professsional.

The scroll bar thing is screen resolution, the browser will put them there automatically if the screen resolution can't show the full image(s).

In Rick's case you can see the vertical resolution is too low to hold the full menu and picture - not helped by 1/4 of the screen at the top being filled with just about every IE menu imaginable :)

I have the same "problem" with my very old laptop which has a low native resolution screen.

I don't think you can define the colour of the scroll bars (if they are forced to appear), I think it's determined by the users general "Theme" and "Desktop" settings in Windows.

Thanks guys, maybe I'll have a think of what to put on the first page, otherwise it's just black and blank, so had to add something. Hay Wil, it's not an advertisement for all my mates cars you know!! Sorry But it's hard to know what to put on the site out of the thousands of snaps i have. But i hope to change them every now and then so you might appear at some point and others replaced.

Yes you have good points Rod, thanks :), I have then in there (the scroll bars) so people with smaller screens can see all the parts of the page, other wise it won't show it and the buttons will be half missing. I'll have a look at the coding, but maybe that's some thing that has to just be.

At this rate it willbe an award winning site with all the ideas flying around :)

Can you make it so the scroll bars arnt optional and are there whether you need them or not, that way atleast they can be optimised and made streamlined whether the screens small or big?

Right i'd added a facve book lonk and sorted out the middle photo. still got more to sort out but getting there slowly now i feel. If you put in car photography in google i'd managed to get on the first page now about 4 or 5 down so please with that. Just thought i'd update you.

I could be very critical as I'm a web designer but the key with web design is that you like it.

However from a technical point of view you have used 2 technologies which are not supported in all browsers, Frames, and Flash, so there will be a collection of people who cannot see your site if they dont support frames or have flash installed. So for example no one using an iPhone or iPad will see any photos at all...depending on how much that bothers you.

That's a good thought, i had thought about the flash thing once before, But thought every one would have that player now adays as it's been around for a while. But thanks, have to think how to get around it.

your right pretty much everyone has flash player now, its only apple who will never allow it on their mobile devices, so like i say depends how much you mind about iphones and ipads not seeing anything, maybe it doesnt matter, thats your choice.

from a design point of view your a professional photographer, everything is about images and how good things look, i dont think the design of the website reflects your professional status.

Let me mock something up for you to get the creative juices flowing, nothing like a bit of inspiration.

Apple won't allow flash player as people would be able to develop apps for the iphone/ipad without paying apple to use the app store.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Apple had a valid point all those years ago with the iPhone 1 that Flash would drain to much battery power, since then flash and batteries have improve but Apple are sticking to their guns. To be honest Flash is getting a bit old now and with the up and coming HTML5 and CSS3 technologies you can do pretty much everything flash can, and Apple are wholeheartedly behind those (the dont have a choice now they wont allow flash).

Anyway, a very quick mock up, its not going to win any awards but it might give you some ideas of colours layout etc.
