Oh no, I think I got some clutch slip today. *surprised* It could of been the tyres but I was in fourth, so I hope not!

I will try and do some more 'trials', need to find a wider bit of road though. *hehe!*

Good effort!

might just be due to wear on the plate?

are you running the 190mm one like me?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Yep thats the same plate as mine,

iirc your using a valeo based clutch? do I remember sproket saying the AP may give better clamping.

be interesting to see what the curent thickness of the plate is now too, if its much thinner than std maybe look at taking the lugs down?

I'm going to be setting the springs so that they are just over center with a new AP organic plate. That is after I have changed the spring bolting method and addopted Matty's home made rivet idea for the drive straps *wink*

I need to find another AP clutch though.

Having a few engagement issues with my RTS which I'm assuming are down to the double plates taking up what little clearance I had before.

Gonna strip it down starting tomorrow night and look for any obvious signs but at the mo my clutch pedal bites from the floor whereas before it would be 25-30mm from the floor.

It's bad enough for me to take off the RTS and return to std Metro Turbo setup if I can't find and fix what the issue is straight away.

I had thought it could be the slave so picked up a new one at Brooklands today. There's enough clearance in the throw out stops for sure.

Any ideas guys ?

Cheers.

Richard.

OK Robert, good idea.

Will changeover to new slave tonight. I also have a new gen verto clutch arm so I'll use that too, as well as re-bleed the whole lot.

The three pivot pins (master cyl to pedal, slave rod and arm to wok) are all new and in good shape so unlikely to be causing the issue which only appeared immediately after conversion to RTS.

Will report back. Ty.

Right. My problems have gone.

I fitted a new vert clutch arm (as the ball end on the old one had gone flat), new vert slave cylinder and re-bled the system.

Now have a nice clutch which takes an inch of pedal before the car moves. This is what I was looking for so all's well. No problem with the RTS. Just needed some tlc and maintenance.
