It's a black and white one from memory it come from the loom with two wires to a spade connection to the coil and one goes off to the alternator.

I have looked for a wiring diagram but having trouble finding one. It's an 88 mini red hot

That black and white wire should go to the dizzy, from the negative side of the coil (I think from memory anyway).

1/4mile in 13.2sec @ 111 terminal on 15psi

It does go to the negative side but also splits off and goes to the alternator, the neg side of the coil seems to be live which is confusing me
