An extra 50bhp, power to weight, is a big jump, assuming it all holds together and gets grip. 9.85 @ 145mph

I get it! More power... less weight... Quicker.... Best get a small kid to drive then
What about traction,oh and driver positioning i.e. sat in middle I watched a mk2 escort launching the other week, apparantly lhd is where to be on a rwd car due to the torque twist always raising the n/s front

That applies in a rwd car, and I think only with a live axle.. A Mini wouldnt suffer the same with its transverse layout. I seen a vidlip recently, from the Ford event at Santa Pod. A blue MK2 ran a 10.4 !!!!! Dont know any details about the car. Edited by stevieturbo on 18th Aug, 2005. 9.85 @ 145mph

the honda type r engines aparently rotate in a different direction so that weightmoves over the front wheels to aid traction

A friend of mine is the wheelie king of motorbikes. He says that the BMWs are rather strange to wheelie with as you mention Pride.

I think you're flattering yourself Stevie. 14.5 is a pretty mediocre time for a Turbo mini these days.
