She'll is coming together well

a friend of mine has a 2003 165bhp efi r1 engined mini getting close to the final stages of completion, the front end on his is so light in comparison to a normal mini, he got the old style promotive kit and was able to drop it strait in. looking forward to when he finishes it.

wagon rider ,yeh good to see you mate drop in anytime for a cuppa and a chat ,got my shed roof fixed today so il be moving the mini in next wk end, chalkie you get tractor enamel/tractol/ on ebay about 10 pounds a litre ,goes a long way and you can paint over it with 2k if you want

thanks for the comments guys and the encouragement its gonna take time but im getting there ,ordered a 10 litre argon ,co2 mix gas cylinder today as im fed up paying for the disposable ones , gonna make up a trolley for my welder and the gas bottle shortly

with most welding done time to put shell away for the winter as weather aint too good in scotland now ,shell as it stands

Turn the shell on it's side. Couple of old tyres on the trolley and it should go straight in.

2 inches to spare either end ,and that leaves 3ft by 10 ft to work in ,not gr8 but itl do

refitted the door back onto the shed with some coach bolts ,so i can take it off again to get her out in the spring next year,il be mostly collecting parts over the winter and refurbing some of the bits i have

apbellamy yeh cracking view mate ,but theyve went and stuck 18 windmills on the hills you can see ,and still the electricitys goin up in price

hi bodgeit what subframe you gonna use promotive/ lynx ae or other ,dog is a pure siberian husky imported from siberia ,shes nearly 12 now but sadly has diabetes

I'm going to be using a miniexvo setup.

miniexvo kit very expensive mate ,does give better drive take up but thats about it as far as i can see ,im going lynx kit

thanks mate busy refurbing my front subframe at the moment ,and buying all the small bits you forget about when rebuilding the shell

slight update ,got on with dismantling complete front subframe ,dont know whats oilier me or subframe at least its in bits now

cleaned up the front subframe and gave it to my mate to blast and powdercoat ,he only wanted a hand with his own project for payment

then this turned up its a 2003 yamaha r1 engine complete with full loom ,airbox and exhaust manifold ,still collecting parts and il need to save a bit for the lynx cradle and diff
