To be honest, its the thought that counts, but the type of thought created needs consideration. I for one wouldn't send anyone something I wouldn't want to receive, I also tend to go a bit more than £5 if it would make some one feel better. Call it Karma if you want.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

£5 limit because postage costs are going up and up every year. It also makes you have to think creatively.

I would say anything goes unless it's something ridiculously offensive and you don't know the recipient well enough. You lot don't seem too easily offended though!

There are 15 people on my list, with addresses.

I have PMd APS and theoneeyedlizard for their details.

Someone has suggested me not sharing the name of Santa's recipient to keep it double blind. What do you think? Will some members be able to guess from address?

I like the name idea as you can then make the gift a bit more personal.

It's 'Secret santa' that means that the Addressee is simply 'Secret Santa' and then the postal address, that way when the parcel turns up, you know exactly that it is your secret santa prezzie.

The main point to raise here is that it is in the spirit of christmas. Not knowing whom you are sending the parcel too and not knowing whome sent the parcel keeps the meaning of giving the gift in the first place, whether its a butt plug or a shower cap.

Bottom line, you are not supposed to know who sent it, or who receives it, that is the whole point, it's 'Secret'.

People will post up what they received afterwards, and only then will the person who sent it will find out who they bought the prezzie for, and, depending on the reaction of the receiver, would you then own up as being the one who sent it *happy*

Haha true, I'd rather someone put my name down as my mother has a habit of opening post that isn't hers. Then again, if I get something from madmk1 the look on her face when she pulls out some sort of gross sex toy will be well worth it.
