am i right in thinking its similar to below?

(Red is the drillings, green the oil spray)

Herefordshire

Sorry its taken me so long to get these, i took them the same day but my bluetooth wasnt working

No1

No 2

No 3

No 4

The drillings aim underneath the pistons towards the crown (obviously)
The only difference is 1 or 4 (i cant remember now, ill have to check) where it isnt quite possible to get a good drilling on it

The hole is smaller than 1mm, not quite sure what size, it is discussed in vizards book

(bugger i think ive number them around the wrong way but im too slow to work it out tonight)

That hole is bigger than 1mm, a 1mm diameter hole is fooking small.

They look more like 2mm holes, perhaps 1.5mm

I thought more and more the BMW oil jets are used?! I like how clever they are constructed and how easy to install.

I like the way Nic's block is done.

Trouble is, I don't think that I have the skill to drill a hole that small without breaking the drill :$

Those BMW jets are exactly what I was after originaly, why have we only been told about them now *tongue**wink*

TurboHarry, do you have any part numbers? Do they come with the bolt or is the bolt a seperate part?

I recon I can rework the zetec fitting to take these fairy easily :)

They come with the bolt which includes a built in check valve which opens at about 3 bar - this has the nice effect that you don't waste oil on idle (thats what I don't like on the bored main cap idea...) If I remeber right the thread was M8x1, of course I have the part No but not here at the moment - will post it when I am back on my homecomputer at the beginning of next week.

Anyone know of a source of these on-line?

I have a hatred of BMW dealers, so don't wont to have to visit one if I can help it.

fore mentioned BMW oil jets retro fitted in Zetec holes, not as good as it would have been if I had done them in the first place, but much better than the things I had *happy*

Did you crimp the Zetec jets at all as recommended by TD or fit them as they came?
