water suppresses detonation, id bet the engine is suffering det, which is ultimately killing the gasket and for whatever reason is more severe on that once cylinder and damaging the piston too.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

maybe both 2 and 3 suffer detonation ..perhaps due to them being the only cylinders with a cylinder either side of them ,

then no2 has the worse clamping load so pops into the water way ,then that water suppresses the detonation on 2....

so leaving no3 to be the virgin sacrifice to the god of molten aluminium?

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

Yes, cylinder 2 has been getting its own water injection......

Not bad logic Robert, my other thought was manifold design could be providing an imbalance on 2 and 3 vs 1 and 4, but i dont really understand the science behind it:

Or the head design means that above 2 and 3, its particularly susceptible to air pockets forming, and its been attempting to air cool itself here, getting hotter and hotter, and causing the det.

what were the AFr's you were seeing on the dyno at full chat, and other than the power runs, were there any sustained load runs at a different RPMs?

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

about 12, 12.5 from memory. will see if i can dig out a video.

it did quite a few part load runs where it was held by the rollers at various rpms and the afrs tweaked etc if thats what you mean. Full power runs were short and spaced out, with the massive fan runnning all the time

Early power run - it had old slicks on that quickly overheated, which meant it spun the wheels and hit the limiter as it came on boost. AFR's are pretty rock solid until then though....

The numbers on the screen are HP, Torque @ fly, AFR, manifold pressure.
