I know several racer with zero valve chain wear problems!!

Weird isnt it!

i need the big long bolts in the bracket that u can see in the bottom of the last pic from tom if any one has any spare or lying arround or knows what size and pitch they are

Well there you go - the guy who has more power than anyone in an A-series (240+ with the gas isn't it?) has no problems with the stock bolts. No leaks or other bollox.

Upgrade them anyway (i'd have thought a set of Unbrako Capheads would stand you at less than a tenner at full wholesale price) and you'll have total peace-of-mind...



Matt - maybe you should invest in a cross-drilled camshaft?
I'm going to reduce my valve lash compression significantly over winter, i'm sure it's way, way too much currently!

good idea dave, it will be interesting to see if the cams worn this year or not.

we'll have to chat about your lashing compression on mine*wink*
