Why use a mirage manifold?

It is what i had knocking around, it has been line bored and fitted with a 4 bolt main centre.should be up to the job.

Each to there own i suppose.

Rich, the Jenvey's were picked up very cheap, also i reckon the longer ryn while give the gas time to "straighten" out of the plenum. Also the twin point injection option give me scope to position the injecter at the optimum place when setting up.

LOL.

Someone's gone from a 'carb' man to EFI knowledge in a short space of time... *tongue*

The twin injector thing was a fantastic fad which passed pretty quickly. Few engines use it anymore, unless running staged injetors - which as you can easilly get high-impedance 600+cc injectors that still work down to 1.1ms duty at idle mean you need to be pushing figures that you'll NEVER see from a 1.3 eight-port at any 'real' boost level.

I did'nt mean to run 2 injecters, just to have a choice of position...

Any 1275 block would do the job.

And believe it or not 3 of the 4 rear head studs line up.

Looking Good Jon!

Looks like this is way to go, where is everyone sourcing there heads from, found some breakers yards that do them not sure what the going rate is for them now?

This is an ages old thread.

I think Jon was having a laugh. He just plonked a BMW head on any old (although shiney) block and wound everyone up about it.

haha.

yes, just joshing!

It was a bit like the cold war, the west pushing the Russians into meltdown with the arms race!

All good fun though, I was a mix of bits hanging around MSPD's workshop.
