Thanks for the offer Tom, will certainly be calling when I get closer to starting her up for the first time.

Hoping to have it on the road for the beginning of April, it will only get taxed for 6 months a year so figured on April - September.

I have painted the turbo housing, I know it won't last but i'd given it a good clean and once over, so thought I'd might as well.

I don't know about having patience, i'm not renowned for it, just figured this time I was going to build it as I wanted first-time, but that paln turned to bollox as there are things I want to change already but I'm stopping myself otherwise i'll never get the bloody thing finished.

Didn't realise how much i'd done since the last post, so will take more photos over the weekend and post them up later.

Connected the internal gear linkage up tonight, what a pain in the arse that is, can select all gears but 3rd and reverse, which isn't ideal, think it's the gearstick housing though was never really happy with it when I stripped it down and tidyed it up, may see if I can get hold of another one and give that a go.

Thanks for the positive comments guys

& that`s why none of my new race minis are finished yet, there`s allways some new way of doing things or some new parts that come along or some new ideas i decide to do in the middle of things.

& Tom,,, you want me to pay for the flight too... Dam the next thing is you`ll be wanting me to put you up in my house & feed you & supply you with drinkies & go out partying & pretending i`m friends with you or something like that, crickey you want everything just for a little help, Huh!!!! *smiley*

Well ok then, But on one condition tho, you bring F/Carl & all his titanium stuff with you, & maybe both the twinny mini & that big turbo KAD thing, let me test drive them both while you 2 finish off all my minis for me, OK??? *smiley*

Maybe we could all get together & finish off the Turbo Alloy V8 mini & add another turbo alloy V8 power unit into the back of it, just to get Carls Twinny Mini Juices running hotter *smiley* I`ll even let you both drive it-->
What are friends for hey? *smiley*

Another update.

Got a bit more of the engine bay completed - including my additional wiring loom

Starting to get a bit full in there, oil cooler, intercooler, catch tank and servo all have to go in there yet

Bit gutted, got a small oil leak from one if the diff covers (pot joint) shouln't be to difficult to sort though

Swapped the front brakes from the Mk1 Fiesta to a set of Minisport vented ones (got them cheap off ebay)

Think I may need to raise the rear a little, or reduce the weight, but theres not much left back there though.

Not done much with the interior since the last update, the interior gear linkage works fine now and I can select all gears, reverse is a bit difficult but how often will that be needed!!! Still got the AEM AFR gauge to fit, the wiring is all in place just need to locate the gauge itself.

No idea where the dash is from, bought it second hand of a local lad when he gave up on a project

Caution: Do not open windows during speeds in excess of 120mph.

Why I bought it and why it's there I don't really know, just found it quite amusing!!

Looks really good!

I'd be a bit worried about wiping the lamda sensor off on a speed bump though.

Think the pic is a bit deseptive on the Lamda, it's higher than the sump so should be OK (Hopefully lol)
