not worth me job.

the prefix on this plate is sentimental as it sounds like my sons name. i pretty much bought the car for the number.

The Pigs dont scare me! My Logbook is from a 1960 850, the shell is a mk4 made to look like a mk1!

The logbook has been on 2 different cars. Only for Rust reasons however.

bit cold to be in the garage today, so have set about doing me bootlid, put the plate lamp and surround on, the surround and lamp are original 64 items *wink* i quite fancy the scroll type writing on the boot summit like Austin Mini, ala mk1 stylee.

Gear has gone back to JKD, be rear brake cylinders are shot, so need to change em, but they are blimmin expensive now :( i recall them being summit like 8.95 each ? last time i did em.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I've got a relatively long wire so the boot can be easy put to one side (passengar side as thats where the wiring is in the corner of) and then if i need to remove it just a couple of spade connectors. you could put a plug, a RC car battery one would do the trick.

Well Big thanks to Kevin Dempsey at JKD the new gear arrived today, can anyone advise if this is correct, it looks totally different to the first one i had. it is 27 teeth though.

Iain at Avonbar has gone outta his way to get some more pins for Stevies diff, this is above and beyond his call o duty, i had the diff for some time and tran x dont do spare pins, so he must of called in a favour or two *wink* a big thanks to him too HIGHLY recomended !

Richie

just got to scource flywheel n clutch assembly and the engine could be done in a day. i have a SC primary but not sure if it is JKD or not, anyone know how to tell ? do JKD mark all their gear ?

Richie

aye, fingers crossed it will be the end of the challenge gearset heartache !!! the one that is in is clearly fooked wish i had known what i was looking at when i got em psml. but its done now and they are fitted so hopefully the taller ratios and the taller diff will help with top speed. like i say just need an idler gear and first motion gear, i have a SC primary but not sure who its made by ? its 24 tooth and has 5 oil gallery ways but it 8nt stamped anywhere with any make etc etc. iam so tempted to borrow Stevies drop gears and flywheel but theyare A not A plus, and he would tear me a new one if i did :)

Another Big Thanks to BENROSS for his time, wisdom, bacon buttie, and lamb dinner !!!!

well i learned all about building gearboxes today, and after some jiggery pokery, the shot second gear is now officially a paper weight ! i arrived at cassa del BENROSS 1000 hours for check in :) and we cracked on, i got me drop gears sortid and have visited minispares for the first time ! after alot of tweaking the box is finnally ready and another massive hurdle over with. going to start to pop it all together now, i need to know the end floats for the idler and the primary if anyone knows ?

thanks again Steve, ts all appreciated.

Richie
