The boost i was running is a bit debatable as i said i was having spikes, I think for the quick run i was at 18psi but cant be too sure! What sort of 60 foots are people doing on road tyres?

Lol too true!! But the 15.1 was run with a 3.0sec 60ft so is quite safe to say room for improvement there! *laughing*

I wish i was on road tyres! No i was on the slicks so dont think it holds as much significance as if i was running on road tyres!

Maybe Not mate but other fast cars do run slicks, so either way it's super time. well done.

Couldn't fault it this year. Must admit I was abit more sober though than last year.
Made alot of sense moving the stalls on the concrete. :)

What's interesting is that, so far, no one on here has said a bad word about MITP 2008.

I'm a regular show goer, usually to collect parts and often leave by lunchtime - not really my scene.

However, I think that the combination of the normal type of show with the added spice of a bit of drag racing is a recipe for success.

I would suggest that the RWYB type event should be more structured along the lines of the Showdown, as judging by the numbers of people in the stands, the racing is maybe a bigger part of the event than the organisers anticipated.

my 14.52 second run was a 2.729 60 ft ! eeek
my other 60 fts were 2.47 2.46 2.57 2.51 2.75

i think the fact that each time i seemed to get to the line just as they had a small childrens sandpit there ,was a disadvantage !lol

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

Great weekend, despite my car disappointing me yet again - a 15.5 was the best I could get out of it, but that was after bodging a fuel leak on the 180 mile drive there on the Saturday. Ran both days since it was so quiet (by Pod's standards).

Good to meet Matty, Nic, Starmag, and others who's names I can't remember or didn't catch (my memory isn't great!!!). I was the one with the silver car with black supalites with the badly shaped hole cut in the bonnet with an angle grinder!

Thought they kept the cars moving well (again, by Pod's standards), they're usually not that quick! Seemed pretty well organised, and the trade stands on the hardstanding was much better than last year.

Oh, and if you were watching the Italian Job in Fuelers Bar on Saturday night, then you're boring! We were the ones booing and cheering at every scene!

Do we know what happened on John Hastons last run against the Don?

It went bang just off the line and chugged up the track.

Pity 'cause it should have been a close race.

there was a nasty green mini with holes cut into the boot lid.

ran in the 15`s, was a crap driver.

on one run he missed every single gear.

and he ran again and again.

he was either really dire or really thick not to realise something was wrong and shouldent have been going up the strip.

I spoke to that guy who said it was the first time he had taken it up the strip. It was a 1600 k series. Quite nice interior though.

just off the fone to him,

it's spewed the gasket out , cut a fine groove in the block face and done a piston.

To be honest it did sound expensive when it went.

leeds/wakefield.

one piston , one block skim , one full gasket set, one gall of oil and about 20 hrs will have it sorted,

not what i'd call expensive.
