Finished of the last of the frame work:

Welded up my steering column:

Made up the wheel arch brackets:

Welded up excess holes in scuttle:

Welded on some triangles for bonnet/boot pins:

Saved a bit more weight off the doors:

Due to the extent of the roof being caved in i had a hell of a time straightening it out, but it still wasn't 100% so i've been at it again to reshape it:

From this ...

To this ...

And now finaly a screen fits again ...

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Bit more of an update:

Finaly got the rear bulkhead welded up, never want that job again:

Got the harness mounts welded into the cage, shoulder belts in pic above and lower monts in pic below:

Made a start on the gear linkage, bracket made up to hold it to the shell and lever shortened. Just need to get another couple of universal joints:

Finally got the upper steering column machined and the steering wheel hub boss welded on:

Going to shot blast the shell next week end, so not long to go till we see some paint :)

Amazing build, great effort!

I've got one question. Where did you buy the fuse box?

I need one that has got connectors on the back.

Bit of progress this weekend.

Got the dashboard glassed up smoothed ready to be flocked:

Front end drilled for fastening, and bonnet drilled for pins:

Boot trimmed to size and holes drilled for pins:

Another mock up to keep me motivated:

What a fantastic build. I wish I had half the skills you have.

Fantastic work and I'm amazed by your rate of progress, it's taken me all afternoon to do two bars on my cage.
