looking into your engine bay at the front sub mounts there is a plate spot welded in infront of them can you cut this out to reveal and make the mounts visible?

Ah above the tower mounts! Im not too sure about them, one of my welds has has broken where it meets the wing, I was looking to see how much it actually does structurally but thought it would be best to leave them alone.

Ive made some more progress on the dash. The wiring for the speedo is a right PITA, untill its sorted I don't want to cut the dash out to fit it! Lol

The small plates infront of the subby bolts ive seen cut out before, ive cut mine out and blended the wing into the bulkhead panel with a small brace.

IIRC it was simon o'sullivan who did it in the first place, i will go dig more pics out for you mate haha

Sorry i cant find any pics of anyone elses work but i haev definatly seen it done before, this is mine anyway.

Since then its been cut out and made to flow abit better and has a folded top edge just to make it look abit more substantial. *smiley*

Managed to make a little more progress..

Dash is all done, just needs fitting and more importantly flocking! :)

Rear seat and pockets are 95% gone, still got some tidying up to do.

Total weight of rear seat and pockets was 4kg's, so now at 575kgs!

Argh, found some MORE rust where the rear pockets used to be, I might try and pass them off as venting for the rear brakes!

Where did you get your dash from Matty? I've found some that look identical for around £160 delivered, but I'm trying to find one cheaper if I can!

A guy called THE STIG on TMF, got it for £110 posted. I think he's temporarily stopped doing them for the time being though?

Cheers bud - I'll message him and see if he can still do one - won't need it till the new year anyway as the car will be in pieces till around March time I would imagine!

why is it that when some one produces a good dash, and there is a demand for them, they decide to stop.

Madness, absolute madness

ZCars are way more expensive, and the ebay ones are the ones at £160 delivered.

If you're not in a hurry its probably worth contact the guy on TMF as he has only temporarily stopped making them.

With the Help of Ian_W, I managed to rescale my rev counter :)

Looks good Matty. I'm guessing you can set the output for the rev counter in the ECU then? Otherwise its going to read wrong without altering the signal going in?
