Some people don't class my car as a real mini, well it is a full steel mini shell with the modifications needed to take the power plant that I decided to put in.
I went with the rear engine set up because it gave me more room to do what I wanted to do with it.
I experimented with mini engines for years & being a speed freak as you all know, I always went to far & found the a series engine a little too unreliable for me.
Hats off to Carl, The Don, & Jon Haston for what they are doing with the a series engine & good luck to them in the future, as working with the a series engine is what they do. Well I work with any engine that will produce the power that I need to get the times that I am getting, & if I want to progress & go quicker & find that my engine is at the end of its power, I will move on again & find something that will do the job & be a little reliable.
My engine made 658bhp on AETs dyno 2 years ago & I have changed the oil & spark plugs since.
The car is an every day user (taxed & MOTed) but I must admit I try not to use in the rain cause I don't do cleaning.
I wear a race suit, boots, gloves & a neck brace because I am required to by Avon Park & Santa Pod raceways & when I pull the parachute at sub 150mph I get neg 2.5 G.

Thanks Tadge, I have already been certified & locked up, but they let me out at weekends to go racing.

i heard from one of the miniworold photographers he was waiting on a couple of turbo's to arrive for it Paul. How true that is i don't know though.

I heard the same thing but no show as of yet, & yes I look forward to seeing the car again. Mike & Tony (Cyclone Motorsport) will be out again soon with the twin turbo 24v cosworth Mini & that has already run 9s so i'm expecting good things from that.
Mike's 16v cosworth Mini is all up on its toes now & producing great power, he is sprinting it this weekend.

when i said doesnt everyone bu stuart meades. i wasnt slaggin you off. my god your car is amazing and i do like it and watching it run. 9 seconds is quick by any cars standards. slighly annoying when soon as you come out everyone over the tannoy is like gets proper excited and repeats your nama about 10 times in 2 sentances haha. you dont annoy me i dont know you and ill probs like you as you like cars minis and speed and drag racing. keep up the good work.

recon yourll ever see 8's or is a minis aero not capable of that?

I recon 8s are possible, I don't think its a power issue for me or even aero, its gearing on my behalf or tyre size, maybe something I will look at once everything is working good.
My business partner is coming out next year with a mini van RWD & he should be putting down some good times, but he has left a lot more room under the arches to run 22" tyres where I am limited to 20.5. 1.1/2" makes a big difference, ask my wife.
Also I've known Paul Venners the Santa Pod commentator for about 10 years & he does plug me on the mike but he also takes the piss on the mike, its just on going banter between us, don't matter who it is, if you have a race car & he knows your name & your car, he remembers it & its more of a talking point for him.
