ok, let me see If I can explain this

I imagine it is a rev limiter that throws as much retard in to stop the revs increasing past a pre-set point. Highly likely, this unit just retards, and doesn't cut the ignition. It's likely the fuel will come from the carb. Maybe MW also pulls the choke out a little to get more fuel?
I suspect there isn't an injector driver there, but If you want to use an injector, sorce an injector driver like the MF2 whatever from ERL.

Ok, penny droped! Cheers for your help Dave. One other thing, how does the rev-limmiter retard ignition timeing? Just wondering how it works.

Cheers, Kev

Forgotten more than most ever know

Yes, I have cut heads with 36 cc and 35 cc chambers. Most of the cc increase comes from deepening the chambers, the last one had about 12 mm deep ones. My cores have always been old ones with sunken valve seats. I simply cut the chambers deeper to bring the seats level with the chamber roof. Note that these heads also had the beaks, even though cut back a lot. I cut the first head in pieces to check the amount of material left so I could cut the next one even bigger. The third head (for my mate) went into a bin with a hole into a water jacket.,, Stuart Gurr used to cut big chambers but the rate of success depends on a quality of the core casting. If there is unwanted core shift even a known shape may produce junk.

One remark though, when cutting the chamber deeper one also changes the valve geometry. So it is not a simple and straight forward option.
