Well after a couple of months of not getting much done due to work commitments - no holidays for 6 months and been away from home at least 2 night a week doesn't leave much time for the Mini.

I've managed to get a couple of days on the car this weekend so got a few things done.

Sorted my replacement battery from Halford (old one knackered but under warranty) and turned the engine over - got oil pressure almost instantly and stays at 5 bar whilst turning over.

Put the servo in and plumbed it all up, bleed the brakes - couple of small leaks when under pressure from the 'one man kit', though nothing major and all sorted now.

Bled the clutch and all adjusted up.

Megajolt wired, laptop plugged in and base map downloaded.

Put the turbomini.co.uk stickers in place.

Adjusted the rear ride height and greased all the nipples.

Sorted out a battery cut off switch on the battery terminal.

So quite a good day all in all, pulled the car out of the garage and into the sun - so even better.

Feeling quite satisfied with myself and a little burnt.

Also got the lawns mown and some gardening done - so I'm also in the good books with her in doors.

I'll add the latest pics tomorrow.

The dash is an acewell unit - origanally designed for bikes, but works perfectly for my requirements, you can also get one that has all the warning lights, indicator lights, high beam etc.

Paid about £70 for mine, got it from ebay.

I know I should get it fired up, I think part of me is delaying in case there is a problem - I'd be gutted, have to bit the bullet soon though.

The washer bottle is just fitted to a standard bracket rivetted to the wheel arch.

Spare is there just in case - wouldn't fancy running it down the strip on tyreweld to be honest, plus I can always take it out!!

The more cake update.

It's starting to look the part now, and having watched some of the guys on here run down the strip on Sunday I'm going to have to get it started, just needs some petrol in now and away we go (HOPEFULLY!!!)

Well, put some petrol in it last weekend, run it without the plugs in to get the oil pressure up, wired up the petrol pump and guess what................................................. the pumps shot and doesn't run, bit of a anti-climax.

So if anyone has an spi/mpi pump knocking about I have the cash waiting.

The clamps are just hose clamps, thought they'd be better than the usual ones, must say I'm not overally impressed though.

tinted polycarbonate windows are cool, need to get those soon! did you change the rear window yourself using the window-seal tool?

Seats?

Yep fitted the rear window myself and they are fitted using the usual seals and chrome inserts.

Also the rear side windows are fitted into the standard chrome surrounds (that open).

"Seats?" Only the one!!

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.
