Just thought I'd tell my weekend woes to all. I don't think many people will make the same mistake (in fact I reckon no one will make this mistake).

It all astarted with my mew fuel pump. All the instalation went smoothly (wiring, plumbing etc.) then I turned it on. The simple throwing of a switch managed to fill a couple of cylinders with fuel as it came gushing out of the jet.

Two hours later, after fannying around with the regulator, the float bowl/needle jet I finally found the problem......

I put my wet tyres in the car for transportation and one of them had moved and was sitting convieniently on the return fuel line which runs through the car. Removing the wheel and swearing a lot seemed to fix the problem.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
