Hi to all,

I have a studio 2 from 1990 - you might be able to guess where it now resides....

I'm just about to start stripping it in preparation for a turbo conversion - when I can get the lights working (the barn must be about 200 years old and the electrics where probably second hand then).

I've managed to pick up a T3 and manifold, carb/plenum/inlet, R5 intercooler, turbo head and crank to go with the n/a mg metro engine I already have, with the idea of combining them.

The reason for this post..........I'd be interested in any tales of woe from everybody who's done this before - where did you start, things you would do differently next time, tricky bits I should be aware of etc, etc.

Cheers

Guy

hi and welcome
i think most of your answers should be on hear mate. i bought everything seperate too and next time id try and get a full car because i got stung with a knackered head and turbo. theres still a few more bits youll need but put a wanted add on hear and someone might have some spare.
and how tricky it is to install depends on your skills both welding and mechanical *tongue*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
