Hi all, I finnished building the mini a few days ago and run it all in ready for the old avon. Peter rolling roaded it today and got 200 baldwin 'bannanas' out of it @5500rpm with 21psi of boost on a standard turbo and points dizzy.

Its a bit of a wepon on the road*smiley* still some touqe steer in top gear but no cluch slip at all. I recon it could handle another 50bannanas no probs*surprised*

Maybe not the 300*smiley* (yet) but there is still more to come........Maybe a bigger intercooler, bigger turbo and more boost should add a few more nanas and maybe some NOS and play about with some cams don't know yet.

Happy with that for now i think, if a get in the 14s at avon Ill be happy for a beginer.

Cheers, Kev

Near Lincoln

sounds like a good bunch of bananas you've got there, and there is no better place to prove your car than avon

see you there!

200 baldwin bananas should see mid 14's or better pretty easilly. If is doesn't, then invariably it's driver error! LOL.

way way high from what ive been told by lots of people.

200 at baldwins is 150 on others, but then they all seem to vary

You cant really compare rollers - they're used to tune cars, they're not an exact measurement.

that is why my car has 500hp, i just draw the graph myself. *tongue*

Baldwin has a reputation for setting cars up well. his readings may be high but its the drivability and how it performs on the real road that counts

Sounds a good result, especially if its the first a series turbo engine you have built and had put on the rollers??

Thanx. I cheated a bit as I didn't build the engine.
