In a previous thread i showed you my buggered turbo crank, after some recomendations i swaped the crank for one from a normal 1275 using turbo shell bearings.
If it breaks... build a much faster one |

Was your old crank ground undersize? If it was and you have used the same bearings then they will not have running clearance and will lock up as you describe.

the original crank was yellow and the new one is green If it breaks... build a much faster one |

I have no idea what the factory colours mean unfortunately!

You have put the center main cap back on the right way round. Are all the numbers facing the same way?? On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

i took all the kit to a local machine shop today, got the crank machined and new shells. sorted.
If it breaks... build a much faster one |
