In a previous thread i showed you my buggered turbo crank, after some recomendations i swaped the crank for one from a normal 1275 using turbo shell bearings.

when torqued up the crank is completly locked up and will not move, are there different settings i should be using for this combination??

Was your old crank ground undersize? If it was and you have used the same bearings then they will not have running clearance and will lock up as you describe.
This is the most obvious thing I can think of.

Otherwise, torque up one cap at a time and see if it is only one cap causing the problem?

I have no idea what the factory colours mean unfortunately!

What I was getting at is that cranks if they get scored or worn are reground undersize to get a fresh surface back, and then physically thicker bearings are used to keep the running clearance the same.

Usual first undersize would be 10 "thou" undersize.

I'd suggest measuring your old crank journal sizes, and then your new ones, you will need something quite accurate to do this, a vernier calipers should do the trick.

Or you could also remove your bearing shells and look on the back of them, standard size will usually have "STD" stamped in, 10 thou maybe +010".

You have put the center main cap back on the right way round. Are all the numbers facing the same way??
