this is done with a 95 hp 98 Nm NA engine! box was totally clean except from crownwheel bits when opened so I dont think any swarf has broke it, must have been a bad one...Norways biggest trackdays are today and tomorrow so it happened at a VERY bad time too*evil**frown*

That's on of the worst I've seen. I'd guess that one broke (which is not uncommon) then this took a couple more and so on.

That's not a broken diff, that's a broken crown wheel :)

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

I know that Verg, but its a part of the differential. BTW if you are going by Rich, could you ask if you could take my fuel pump with you?

ooooh nasty,

the pinion doesn't look too bad though.

was that a machined out std crownwheel or one bought for an lsd?

the pinion is fcuked too. both parts in the bin. I bought is second hand, it have been in a box longmanbuilt and used for some laps at goodwood.its 4.33:1. the box (and engine) is back together with a 4.26:1 for now, and the engine is back in the car. not connected yet though. I just lost both the possible trackdays and not a day more :(
