me and my mate put a set in an old purple shell i have and it wasnt too bad tbh. we made the mistake of setting them too far back tho and they needed a lot of filler to make them look right, the pannels we used needed a lot of tweeking to fit too. they do look the muts nuts tho in my opinion and well worth the hastle if your after that look.
steve

doh! why did i start messing with it!

Really sorry to hear that buddy, don't mean to sound condescending but you MUST wear the correct safety gear, GOGGLES are a must when grinding, glasses even safety specs are not good enough, you only get two eyes!

Please EVERYONE else out there heed this and use the proper kit, safety gear is not expensive so don't cut corners. I work in a dangerous industry with real potential for serious accidents, and there is ZERO TOLERANCE to not wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), make it so in your own garages and workshops please everyone....:)

got back from the RVI today having yet more shit poked in me eyeball ! they say my lens is grazed and will take a lil while to heal up but at least i can see out of it, i have hung me goggles on the entrance door to me garage so i have to pick em up to go in.......no doubt i will eventually become laxx again and leave em on the roof of me car !.......

Good news is me removable front end and bonnet are complete ! me car goes into my usual paint shop, in three weeks so will post pics of her all new n shiny i have given up trying to prep it.. £500 all in including prep primer etc etc etc (there is loads of prep too)

Yet another yellow mini to add to the forums lmao

on the subject of safety its always worth having a fire extinguisher (??) or bucket of water in the garage whilst welding or grinding.
I set my overals on fire welding and my mums swinging chair cusion whilst grinding.........

In my case I only get 1 eye so I'm even more careful, it takes ages to sort out, Oz (moss manchester) did the same thing.
