I am sorry to say that I am selling my mini that I have owned and loved for over 10 years, its a shame, but a recent motorcycle accident has made me realise its time to move on.

1983 Mini City E 1000.

Engine/transmission:

All BRAND NEW, built by MED by Simon before he left.

ARP Head bolts
Titan roller tip rockers
Rally spec flowed head matched to large bore manifolds with big valves and inserts so it can run unleaded.
11 stud setup
Silcone Bronze guides
Stat blanking plate
Maniflow Steel inlet 6 inch (45DCOE)
Maniflow Large bore exhaust exhaust manifold and twin box system
276 cam to run it in on
Billet steel duplex chain setup (supplied my Swiftune from Australia)
73.5mm Offset bored in new powermax pistons.
Lightened and balenced A+rods
New rod bolts
New uprated oil pump
New waterpump
Full house crank, wedged, balanced, cross drilled and nitrided
Steel center main strap
Billet Steel ultra light steel flywheel
Billet Steel ultra light steel backplate
Both balanced with brand new orange clutch and backplate in place.
JK Straight Cut drops
JK straight Cut gears
New Cross pin diff
Centre oil pickup
All built in fresh case, with new bearings, bauk rings, selector forks etc. Again by Simon at MED.

Rebuilt Webber 45 DCOE complete with new K&N filter.
Brand new Aldon dizzy
Brand new electric ignition fitted to the above
New Omex Rev limiter with launch controll.
New Lucas sport coil.
Mocal 13 row oil cooler and stainless fitting kit

Suspension:

Freshly rebuilt front suspension.
Bare metal respray of subframe fitted with the following brand new parts:
Solid alloy mounts
1.5 Negative bottom arms
Adjustable tie rods
Cooper S brake setup rebuilt with stainless pistons, grooved discs, EBC pads, new balljoints, new brake lines etc.
Goodridge braided hoses
New rubber donuts
Hi-lows with new balljoints
High grade polly bushes throughout.

Rear suspension:

Still on the car but with brand new camber/caster plates to go on and SPAX adjustables already fitted (by me, during the first rebuild!)

Body Shell

Rust free body shell (AND I DO NOT SAY THAT LIGHTLY!)
Recent work includes new drivers floor pan
New Inner and outer sills
Webber box
Fully painted engine bay
Stone chip painted under arches
waxoiled
W+P style arches fitted with arch gap painstakenly filled.
Stainless bumpers
Non catch hole Chrome grill
This shell was re-sprayed in standard mini dark blue (original colour) when i rebuilt it the first time around. So lots of the car is still mint. The front has now been rubbed down again due to stone chips and surface rust. This has now all been sorted and primed, but it does need painting from the A-Panel forwards. The rest of the paint really is tidy (roof etc) but the rear arches have cracked where they join the body so would need rubbing down again to make it perfect.

Inside the car I have removed all trim, carpet (although I still have it) and seats. This was so I could then remove all sound deadning and excess weight, including the head lining.
There is now a Rollcentre 6 point cage with door bars (used) in the car, although this has not yet been fitted, only offered up.

Wheels and tyres

I have a set of four geniune minilite 6x10 alloys. I have owned these from new and they have just had a professional refurb and powdercoat as two of them were curbed.
These come with two good Yokohamas.

The Rest

There is a mountain of other stuff that I have been collecting over the past few years, all sorts, Big Pro-Comp rev counter (£150 on its own!), SPA digital speedo, smith gauges, aftermarket steering wheel and boss etc etc.

I have owned this car for over 10 years and have loved it. I rebuilt it first time around for driving on the road, which I did for a number of years. Then, about 4 years ago it was taken off the road to be made ready for competetion, that is why there are SO many new parts. Unfortuantly I have come to realise that my life has moved on and my mini isnt going to get finished, sad but true. I have spent many thousands on it (engine, box and everything to plug into it are about £6k alone!) and have so many recpeipts and invoices I could start a library!

It is difficult to put a price on this, I suppose a car finished to this spec would go for around £6000, so I am offering it for £3500 for EVERYTHING. I am a reasonble guy and do invite any genuine offers but please do not waste mine and your time.

Thanks for looking, *happy*

May be interested in the engine, but not sure if you want to split.

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

I plan to get some current pics this afternoon, which of course are needed.

Its a 286 cam aswell, I have no idea what made me claim it was so mild!

Its not really worth splitting, in fact I would really like it to be nicely rebuilt and used hard, thats what I started building it for.

cheers.

Some older pics,

Of when the engine was already built and the suspension and subframe were being done, they are now dropped in and the shell is rolling.*happy*

I will try and get more, of wheels, cage, shell, plus some of the other major bits, cheers.
