Just a quick question. I understand that TI has a certain life expectancy owing to it work hardening, is this true?

I'd be interested in bidding if they'll go for ever.

cheers

will can i ask where you got this info, iv'e had folk tell me this before ,usually uninformed types, quoting hearsay,
if it work hardens so quick it is a worry ,think about the TI flywheels i have had on my car for 6 years,
the true fact is ,its more springy than steel so as long as it stays within its natural frequency ,it will last a long time.
everything metalic work hardens eventually,

This is why I thought I'd ask the question and try and get and answer from someone who uses the stuff.

I guess it's one of thoes common myths, maybe brought about from people using TI alloys that have a shorter life expectance?

Cheers

one other thing to put your mind at rest,

you can purchase TI coil sprongs, nothing does more work on a cars suspension than the springs surely,
just like steel alloys TI alloys are even stronger than run of the mill TI.
using the correct alloy for an application is the key to success.
