also the length of the fitting which needs to be welded in the exhaust for the sensor

Pinto Spark plug size (if you need a blanking plug)!

I gave Jimbo / Endaf a tap a few months back - maybe he can lend it your mate (who 99% sure won't have one)...

I make my bosses around 18mm long, so the nose of the sensor just sticks into the airflow, rather than the whole obstructive thing...

in stainless if possible please as its going on a stainless downpipe.

probably be a lot easier to get him to knock a few out. sure they'll sell well for the effort involved!

My AEM gauge is on its way to daves *wink* I hope!!

Off Topic... Iain what is it you do offshore? as i used to be an MWD/LWD Engineer for Halliburton Middle East a few years back.

andeh i can if you wish

but you can braze, gas weld tig, mig,mma
stainless using say mild steel rods, wire etc .....

its easyer as my buddy works with stainless all the time

I'm a gas turbine engineer mate *smiley* Specialist apparently! lol! try and deal with all the unusual problems we get.

Not always offshore though. have worked with Halliburton engineers before, well not worked with them but seen them about on sites where i have been.

All good fun! basically think i'm going to end up contracting in a few years as a rotating equipment engineer.

Why not just get a nut with the correct thread, and weld this to the downpipe ?
