it look like a std renault 5 gt turbo ,
but the divider shown on the exhaust side isn't std ,it certainly have been weld in this place, and
confirm please, the compressor nut doesn't seem to have been flated in any place with the compressor wheel , meaning that this turbo have been dismantled and rebuilt.hybrids at this time were from nothing to four stars,
I think that it doesn't have improvement in flow (std t2 compressor) , and no more on turbine (std turbine hsg) but perhaps it had 360° and a divider welded because of crack.
if it doesn't have too much play in the shaft I would use it as it is, and see.it'll give you plenty of boost ,goog respons, very nervous,a very lively engine with safe max revs (about5500)
knowing that you can't extract more than 145 bhp with it ( but this start to make a good mini engine)
cheers
fab
ps: to be certain can you give me the compressor hsg diameter where is the clamp ?

just had another look at it. there are no markins on the exhaust side. inlet wheel casing has 988 13 stamped in it but this could be aftermarket markings

the devider is cast in place

37mm compressor impeller: t2 60 trim so a high flow T2
37mm turbine impeller: std T2 turbine but the important is a/r on exhaust side, look carrefully around turbine inlet (flange to manifold) their should be something like M4
a/r 0.41 or 0.47

OK i have checked again and there is nothing at all on the exhaust scroll or bearing housing. the only thing is stamped on the end of the outlet to the carb and that is 988 13.

i will need to take the scrolls off to re-position them. is there any thing that can be measured to work out what this turbo is and what it is capable of. you said it is a high flow comressor, are they all not high flow on the R5 turbo?

basic engine spec is 1293cc, 8-1 compression, has run 17psi but more would be good and the engine can take it. and i dont rev it past 7000rpm

I mesured one of my turbos, which have a std turbine wheel, and it seemed to be 37mm,I checked technical drawings and it should be 35.5. This wasn't mesured in good conditions, so 1.5 have certainly missed *wink*
