I know the car well.

Graham - how wide are those tyres on your Starmags? I'm about to replace my 175/50s and want something wider (195, 205 ish) so the tyre sits wider than the rim.

Looks Mint though!

a LIL fishing village on the coast - Newcastle Upon Tyne

were these both in the mini mag a while ago ???

iam not a fan of the new mini, although yours looks beaut, i dont like the fact they are powered by chrysler (just my personal pref) the early "S" was prone to fires in the engine bay, due to the fact you cant fit a penny under there. IHMO this car would be perfect if it was british and possibly powered by an "A" series

lmao !!! or german BMW engine would be nice summit like a 3ltr m3 lump ??? with charger
Ooooooh Mammmma

also noted that the a series mini is on a "Q" plate, is it stolen recovered ?

sorry missed that, hmm keeping docs n selling shells is this not a tad naughty, in order to q plate a vehicle all numbers or forms of identity must be removed, in other words the numbers in the scuttle cut out ? iam aware that the marcos would need a number, but that should have been done through dvla and vosa and a new number created surely ?

not to hen peck iam just interested, does not detract that it is a sweet car !!!!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

when you build a kit car though you usually keep the donors number dont you? its basically just re-shelling with a brand new shell.

point taken, i thought that kit cars were meant to be q plated :) unless you keep the numbes and change v5 description to what it has been converted too,,,,,,i recall an unscrupulous mini dealer from the north east used to buy minis (old ones) and change v5 to say Cooper "S" but dvla have clamped down on that lil earner

well thread jacking over ! both cars are pretty damn nice ! and the propper mini (a series) is one to be proud of !

This is the reason why our classic mini is Q plate. This shell was at the docks ready to go to Japan, some guy bought it and returned into a road going mini, however since we've had it its changed a lot.

The log books states its a Mini Cooper, if it didn't I wouldn't of bought it for the money it was advertised at
