I belive the window size changed with the rear lights on the Mk1-Mk2 change over, as this is all one pressing. Edited by Joe C on 27th Jul, 2006. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

I thought it was only the Mk1's that had the small window? But it is a long time since I dabbled with minis that old so could be wrong?

Early mk1's have a straight front valance(i.e. not cut away infront of the wheels)

also the rear lights is different, the grille (mustache VS std), piano hinged rear quarters, and the early mk1 have a bootlid with a inner part similar to the later minis, and an outer skin like the regular early minis, while newer mk1 and mk2 have a double skinned bootlid. |

mk 1 the front bulkhead where it meets the floor pan overlaps different to mk2 by that i mean the floor pan overlaps the bulkhead. this was changed on mk 2 as water used to runn into the footwells. also on mk 1 there is no hole for gearstick as it comes through the bulkhead. you were right about the rear windows they were changed on the mk2
