cheers Iain my pistons are the stock 1275 turbo ones, not sure what cc the dish is though. the pistons are stamped on the crown with --> 2083|1D17 and the letter A stamped in the middle. iam prepared to use octane booster if needed, i used to have to run 101 octane with my old n/a engine the car is not an everyday car.

if your running an intercooler, I'd aim for about 8.5:1 On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

cheers , is there a set amount to mill out of the head ? i would prefer to take it from the head as i will have to have my pistons taken from the rods and the rings removed.

cheers phil, so what boost could i safely runn with a 2wd cossie cooler n phase 2 cam with that cc dish ?

12cc ..bit oppitisitc ( spelling) ,work out your c/r, 1275/4/ + all the air (ie piston dish +head camber cc +ring land + deck to piston height) and / by all the air
Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

rr it as there is no safe figure if you have fueling and timing wrong !! Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

i ran 8.5:1 ish....... with stock pistons on 105 ron with 28cc chambers with a crap! intercooler

will pm you.........Mark i know what ure saying, but i dont want to build her up then strip her down to lower the cr to get the psi boost i want, looks like the pipette will be coming out then :(
