hi, hope someone can help. i will be using an spi tank with my turbo conversion, was wondering if i need an uprated fuel pump too? also, what oil pump is recomended?is a standard pump up to the job, bearing in mind it wont be compleately standard? any advice would be apreciated, thanks. oh, and is it a good idea to use an rs turbo intercooler? i have made a cardboard copy using the measurements of the cooler, and it will fit if i move the coil. was wondering how effective these intercoolers are, as there seem to be plenty on ebay. thanks |

As has been discussed before the spi tank is only good for 1bar of fuel pressure, so it wont cater for more than 10psi of boost pressure. If you wish to run more then it might be an idea to look at another pump I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

i think the spi will do more than that to be honest. i had a mini running 12psi on one fine.

SPi rail pressure is 1 bar, that doesnt mean its not good for more, i recon its good for 2 bar fuel pressure at least. The MPI rail pressure is 3 bar, so should be good for 4 bar

I knew of a lad several years ago who ran around 1.2bar with the SPi pump.
